April 2, 2013: Spring

Hello all!

I haven't blogged since January. Apologies! Which also made me realize, my blog posts don't have dates on them. Hmm. :)

Lots of things have happened since then! Spring is already here! Ahh!

Some updates (and touching base on resolutions from the previous post!):

1. I started working as a full time design intern for Atelier Ace in February. It's been amazing so far. I work with some really wonderful people on exciting projects!

2. I just booked a ticket to Copenhagen in June! The master plan to actually move to Europe is on hold, but it doesn't stop me from visiting of course. :)

3. I have my first ever driving test next week. AHH. Wish me luck!

4. I haven't been dancing as much as I want to yet. However, I've been cycling, bouldering and hiking more often! I also went snowshoeing for the first time.

I'll end this post with some photos....

Current photo of my face. So happy my hair growing pretty quickly!

The cherry blossoms have bloomed in Portland!

A few of my goals for 2013:

♡ get my driver's license (23 without a license, it's true!).
♡ more cycling, more dancing.
♡ revise printed design portfolio, send to studios.
♡ devise master plan to move to europe.

These are just a few!

For new years eve I am going to the mountain with some friends to snowboard until midnight! There's going to be fireworks! Honestly I am terrible at snowboarding but I always want to keep trying.

What are your goals, and what are you doing to bring in the new year?

christmas eve

Happy Christmas eve! Here's what I wore today. I'm channeling my inner little girl with this dress I dug out of the back of my closet. I tried to make it more grown up with a nice pair of heels. Did it work? ;-) The purse is a new addition to my wardrobe, from Zara.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday so far!

God Jul!

God Jul til alle sammen! (Norwegian: Merry Christmas to all!)

Christmas this year is a little strange for me - my parents are overseas visiting relatives in Laos, and my boyfriend is celebrating with this family in Norway. Good thing my younger brother is still here! :)

I thought I'd share some photos from a Christmas I spent in Norway two years ago. It snowed practically every day, but it was gorgeous. Hope I can spend Christmas there again next year!

Have you ever tried kransekake? It's one of my favorite things about Norwegian Christmas. Oh, and don't forget the jagermeister... ;)

Norwegian flags everywhere!

His grandpa, Svein. Gorgeous place, right?

Have you celebrated Christmas in another country before? I'd love to spend Christmas in Japan someday, too!
