March 31, 2014: Morocco

I was in Morocco last week. I had never been there before. It's really amazing that just a 4 hour flight away (from Denmark), was this amazing place!

Casually blending into my surroundings

Roaming around the desert at Ait Ben Haddou

I was obsessed with their colorful tiles

If you go, I suggest eating some tagine kafta (minced meat meatballs) with egg, and finishing with orange slices sprinkled with cinnamon. Morocco is overflowing with oranges! and olives!

I also suggest brushing up your French or bringing a small French dictionary with you. I had no idea they spoke French there until right before my trip. :x

Now I am back in Denmark. I recently got my residence permit (woohoo!), so now I am job seeking and will be taking Danish classes soon. :)

March 5, 2014: wedding

I'm a terrible blogger, ha!

I got married in Oslo, Norway on January 24th.

JJ (my husband) and I met at Portland State University, where he was an international student studying architecture.

My parents flew with me to Norway for the wedding. Although it was cold, snowy and expensive, they were good sports about it, haha! :-)

February 10, 2014: Paris

Belated post about my trip to Paris! It was my first time and I loved it. We have some relatives there so it was great not worrying about hotel and transportation. :-)

We did a lot of touristy things: Visited the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Champs-Élysées, château de Versailles, Sacré-Cœur.

We drank wine and champagne every day, morning until night.

We ate lots of crêpes, fresh raw oysters, pâté, foie gras, escargot, baguettes and cheese.

Almost couldn't zip up my wedding dress when we got back to Norway. True story.

I'd love to go again!
