tried and true recipes pt 1

Recently I've been cooking at home more often. I'm completely obsessed with foodgawker, and use most recipes from there. I'm a sucker for simple recipes with simple ingredients. Here are a few recipes from the internet that I've made before and recommend that you try too! The blogs they are posted on are definitely worth exploring at well. I admit it, I am kind of a food porn addict...

I am in total love with salmon, especially if it's baked or served as sashimi. This recipe uses a 3 ingredient marinade and it tastes awesome! I like to have it with steamed broccoli, cauliflower and brown rice.

These soft and sweet potatoes are great as an appetizer, side dish or snack. I made it for the first time today and my friends gobbled it up so quick!

I had some ground beef in the freezer I was looking to use for lunch, and this recipe fit the bill! I sped up the process by using frozen broccoli and cauliflower that steams in a microwaveable bag (possibly my favorite frozen product). I also love the taste of oyster sauce. Served this with brown rice. Looking forward to making this again!

I love taco soups and chilis, but they're usually hit or miss when it comes to recipes (I had a disappointing experience with a vegan pumpkin chili). For this I omitted the bell pepper and added a can of kidney beans. This is awesome topped with avocado, cheese and corn bread!

I used regular tomatoes and baked it about 20 minutes. So good as a filling for fish tacos!

and here are some recipes I've been wanting to try:
I'll let you know if those recipes work out or not... ;)
